100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
|
Following the murder charge on their colleague after the Chris Kaba shooting. Police are now panicking as there are not enough armed police officers to protect the public in case of terrorist attack or other incidents.
I don't know much about Chris Kaba incident some say if he was white he wouldn't have been shot? Others say he had many previous convictions some with firearms but that is not good enough reason to shoot him. Some say he was using his car as a weapon ramming police to try and get away others say not? Apparently Kabas family have viewed body cam footage and said they were making a step back made no comment and have no idea if Kaba committed previous allegations of crime?
I don't know without all the facts who is right or wrong but the decision has massive implications for all our safety as if I was an armed copper I would step back, good luck if they can find others to fill the void.

Firearms officers from other forces being drafted in to cover the shortage in the met. A bigger danger that those officers who fancy it but were previously deemed unsuitable (temperament etc) will be brought in to make up the numbers. I was also reading that there is a perception amongst the ranks that the CPS charging threshold for old bill is far lower than for the general public.

My understanding is that if Kaba hadn’t of been shot dead he would have been in court with 4 others on a murder charge.
He is not the god fearing, loved his mum kind of person painted by the media.
London cannot be policed, it is a lost cause.
My advice, leave them all to it and protect those people outside of London.

You have to read between the lines on these things.
He had a record and was meant to be gang affiliated.
Driving around in a car the reports say wasn’t his (“borrowed” or stolen?] and was linked to a firearms offence the day before.
Not sure if pulled over or was chased by the old Bill but sounds like he wouldn’t get out the car or was boxed in and tried to ram his way out.
Then got blasted through the window but was unarmed.
Situation seems to be entirely of his making.

On 5 September 2022, Chris Kaba, a 24-year-old rapper and member of 67, was shot dead by police in Streatham Hill, London, England.
The car he was driving, an Audi Q8, was believed by police to have been linked to a "firearms incident" the day before.
On the day of the shooting, the Audi was followed by an unmarked police car until it was met by a police road block. Armed police who had been in a marked car approached on foot.
Witnesses said that Kaba refused to leave his car and drove it into one of the police cars, one of the armed officers fired a single round at Kaba through the car windscreen. He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries the following day.
Kaba had been charged in 2018 with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence,in relation to an incident on 30 December 2017.
He was found guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court in January 2019, and sentenced to four years in a Young Offenders Institute. He was released in 2021.
Members of his family said that he would not have been shot dead if he were not black.
Kaba's cousin said "I've put it out there he wasn't perfect… but regardless of that nobody deserves to be killed by the police unless there is an imminent or direct threat to the public.
For me it's a dodgy one, I have had a policeman stick the muzzle of his gun into my crash helmet and call me a cunt during a random roadblock check on London Bridge without much provocation so know firsthand how much they love the power it gives them, there again they were shouting 'STOP, ARMED POLICE' again and again as he tried to batter his way out of a roadblock, crashing deliberately into police cars.
Would they have shot him if he was white? I'm not sure they would have but there's a lot to unpack in the upcoming trial

Dodgy? Previous firearm offences, prison time, driving a car that's linked to firearm offences the day before, being approached in said car by the police, trying to ram them.
Maybe I've missed something?

What’s the point of having armed police if they’re not going to be trusted to shoot?
Black or white doesn’t even come into question, if someone is being challenged by armed police to get out of the car and the said person was using the car as a battering ram, shoot the fucker. Not even worth mentioning his past, just on what he was doing at the time.

"Kaba's cousin said "I've put it out there he wasn't perfect… but regardless of that nobody deserves to be killed by the police unless there is an imminent or direct threat to the public."
What about an imminent or direct threat to the police?
If I'm an armed copper and someone is trying to kill me I'd shoot them. Surely that's standard? It's not just about the public. Armed police need to defend themselves also.

You really do have to perform some serious mental gymnastics to put this down to racism.
An armed copper gets called on red alert, the suspect has a history of firearm offences, the car he's in is marked for a firearms offence the day before, and upon arrival, the suspect is not cooperating, and tries to ram the police.
And we're supposed to believe if this suspect was white, the copper wouldn't have done his job? I mean, fucking hell. No wonder no cunt wants the job.

Few things on how you’d approach this situation:
Would you think gun that can kill me rather than colour of skin?
Isn’t ramming other cars by using a big fuck off jeep type thing using a deadly weapon?
Would you think after the warnings of armed police being screamed and him ignoring those screams he’s basically saying you are not stopping me

*stopping me at any cost?
This is all of course if that is the true story of how it occurred.

Side, body cams on every one of them cops, also stopped in London where everyone is on their phone filming everything at every opportunity, impossible to cover up I’d think.

Let's flip that question... Would he have had drug related offences and been driving a car he didn't own known for causing trouble the previous day if he were white?
